Bubba OG Strain Review
There is no lack of strains that boast of larger than life parentage. While most inherit distinct traits from its lineage, it is rare for an offspring to deliver bigger and better results, figuratively and literally. In that sense, that is what makes Bubba OG a standout.
From Pre-98 Bubba Kush, it took the classic aroma prevalent in the Kush lineage. And, from Ghost OG, it inherited the ability to produce a generous amount of THC. Such fusion of individual characteristics to a new hybrid is typical.
As alluded to, however, Bubba OG did one-up her parents. Credit goes to breeder Dr. Greenthumb for developing it to produce massive buds and higher yields than Pre-98 Bubba Kush or Ghost OG.
Bubba OG is a mostly Indica hybrid. Hence, after a brief mental stimulation, it sends people into deep relaxation. And, if one were not to be careful with dosage, then it indeed can unleash a devastating body high.

Odor and Flavors
Like strolling through the forest fresh from rain, the air is filled with herbal incense that is reminiscent of a wellness spa. Soothing, it warms the soul, and reinvigorates with a spicy bite. The aroma carries over to its flavor and leaves a lingering citrusy aftertaste.
A powerful member of the OG family, Bubba OG is a must-try for hybrid fans. It’s a knock-out grade strain with a whopping THC of up to 25%, a foolproof way to pull the plug on stress without sacrificing mental clarity.
While it is an indica-dominant strain, the Sativa side kicks in first with a cerebral rush that mildly invigorates the mind. Colors are saturated and taste levels take on newer heights. That sounds like a perfect combination for a Netflix and chill type of night.
And then, the Indica effects dominate head-to-toe with its sedative-like properties. Sooner or later, without realizing it, users fall asleep with a smile. Due to this, Bubba OG is recommended as an after-work snack because of its ability to help unwind and induce quality sleep.
While Bubba OG inherits its talents from its famous parents, it also took negative traits too. Cottonmouth and dry eyes are two of the most common adverse effects of any cannabis variety. So, this is something that users should expect. Keeping hydrated should mitigate these mild discomforts.
With an insanely high THC, it’s also no surprise that it has the potential to deliver a devastating punch most especially to inexperienced smokers. It could hit the head with a headache. And, in some instances, may slightly raise anxiousness level.
Medical Use and Benefits
What Bubba OG lacks in CBD content, it makes up with soothing qualities. Hence, it is not only recreational users that could enjoy its benefits. Even medical patients could find comfort in its use. For instance, the high amount of THC it contains enhances its natural painkilling ability.
In delivering a full-bodied relaxation, it enhances the mood, and that helps shift one from a stressed-out or depressing demeanor to one that is of contentment and well-being. Furthermore, the sedating properties
it comes with becomes conducive to rest and, eventually, sleep.
Its mood elevating properties make this a superb late-night strain for people suffering from depression or chronic stress as it can help us find our inner calm and end the day on a good note.
Patients who simply want to plop down the couch and allow their stress to be kneaded away would appreciate the sedation Bubba OG brings, and its mild mental boost keeps us awake enough to appreciate this moment of peace.
When used in moderate quantity, it is entirely possible for users to find some food or snacks. That is because of its appetite-boosting trait. However, in excess, it could also simply put one on a couch-lock with unwillingness to move and eat.
Growing Bubba OG
Bubba OG would need someone with a green thumb to grow, although it isn’t particularly choosy on the arrangement. Cultivating it indoor, outdoor or even in a greenhouse is possible so long as a warm temperature of 21-26 degrees Celsius is kept at a consistent setting.
It flourishes well indoors using soil or hydroponics, and can easily adapt to the Sea of Green (SOG) method. A 600-watt grow light is also one of the keys to unlocking a generous yield. After 8 to 9 weeks, the fruit of labor come in the form of a yield of 350 to 500 grams per square meter.
Cultivating outdoors can be quite a challenge. As such, it would require keen eyes and expert hands. When it’s set up in a relatively good environment that provides enough sunlight and free of diseases or pests, Bubba OG can grow up to 180 cm tall. Potentially, it could deliver a colossal yield of 600 to 800 grams per plant.
