Kali Mist Strain Review – Bonza Blog
Kali Mist is one of those strains that never fails in any competition. Bred by Serious Seeds in 1993, it has won top awards in the 1995 Hydro Cup, 2000 High Times Cannabis Cup and 2000 Seed Company Sativa Cup. It is one of the best cannabis in the universe even if its lineage is somewhat of a blur. Most people, though, think it must be an offspring of two powerful Sativa-dominant hybrids.
One thing unique about this cannabis is that women seem to love it more mainly because it reduces menstrual cramps. Though it leans more on the Sativa component, its Indica side also sprinkles some relief over mild discomfort.
Kali Mist is a daytime favorite and often taken by artists who want to create something new. It gives a boost of energy much like drinking a cup of coffee. And, it always puts a smile on the face once the high sets into the mind and the body.

Medical Use and Benefits
Aside from being a source of good vibes for recreational users, the spotlight also shines on Kali Mist in the medical cannabis scene. Compared to most potent strains, this hybrid is less intense. That’s why patients with mental conditions love it because of its calming and uplifting effects.
Patients who experience chronic stress are relieved by a great deal when smoking this cannabis. It provides focus and positive vibes beneficial to people suffering from anxiety and depression.
Its energy-boosting effect also helps ward off fatigue. Aside from that, Kali Mist helps in improving appetite especially for patients undergoing chemical treatments.
Since this is a popular mood-enhancing hybrid, it is not really used for pain management. There are other strains out there that are more intense and apt for dealing with body aches.
Growing Kali Mist
Kali Mist has all of the structures of a typical Sativa plant. It has long, stretched branches with very heavy and dense, fox-tail flowers. There are lesser leaves as compared to other strains, and this gives a huge benefit to the plant. With few leaves, more light penetrates the upper and lower canopy which produces fully-developed buds.
Indoors, this cannabis can grow up to 120 centimeters tall and the height may be controlled using gardening techniques. It works well using the screen of green (SCROG) and low-stress training methods. So naturally, this strain needs experienced growers for better production. The flowering period lasts from 10 to 12 weeks. After that, it is ready for harvest. Growers can expect a generous yield of 300 to 500 grams per meter square.
Outside the house, be prepared as the plant grows up to 300 centimeters tall. It needs a lot of work such as pruning, trimming and topping. Other than that, it does love a warm and sunny climate. Its flowering time should occur during the last week of October. Expect a yield of 700 grams per plant.
