Nebula Strain Review – Bonza Blog
In astronomy, a cloud of dust is called a nebula. In that sense, naming this strain as such is apt. Looking at its coating, it appears to twinkle like stars in the same way a star cloud seems. Furthermore, the hybrid can and will take people on a trippy ride in space especially when using too much.
Bred in 1996 by Paradise Seeds, the exact lineage of Nebula is somewhat obscure. Most likely, it is to prevent other people from attempting to duplicate it. At any rate, there is a belief that it is a cross between US Haze and Master Widow.
For most people though, the lineage does not matter. About the only thing that is of importance is the effects it delivers. It has also placed well in numerous competitions including:
- 2012 Copa del Plata 2012 (Outdoor), 1st place
- 2005 Copa La Bella Flor Spain, 1st place
- 2005 High Times Cannabis Cup Sativa category, 2nd place
- 2004 Highlife Cup Hydro category, 3rd place
- 1999 High Times Cannabis Cup Sativa category, 3rd place
Nebula does not have an insane amount of THC, but it is quite potent. The type of psychedelic experience it induces is dependent on consumption. While it can be gentle and meditative, it can also be intense and trippy.

Odor and Flavors
When a strain smells so good, one could not resist in taking some more. That is the allure of smoking Nebula. It may be skunky at first, but the floral notes soften it for the comfort of the nostrils. And, its maddening sweetness makes it very pleasant to the senses.
As the smoke touches the tongue, savor the explosion of berry and honey flavors. Nebula is nothing but pure delight for the taste buds. Simply, “Once you pop, you can’t stop.”
For a calm and happy day, Nebula is an excellent strain. It leans towards the Sativa side, so expect a cerebral rush soon after using it. Such mental stimulation sends an uplifting feeling to users and, most of the time leads to exhilaration.
The strain also promotes a clear head and boosts creativity. As such, users can remain productive. And, to do tasks with joy. Gradually, as the Indica traits creep into the body, it puts users in a relaxed mood without feeling lethargic or lazy.
In the unlikely event that some people end up using too much, the psychedelic effects may become extreme. That is when Nebula brings users to a trippy high with intense cerebral buzz.
Nebula is known for its stellar effects. However, there are some minor discomforts in using this cannabis. Before smoking, having a glass of water nearby can be handy. That is to allow users to take sips and keep the throat moist as it can cause cottonmouth. Other conditions include dry eyes and dizziness.
On rare occasions, some people especially those who are new to Sativa hybrids may feel a bit paranoid. It is more likely to occur during the onset or during times when too much was smoked. Hence, remember to use cannabis in moderation.
Medical Use and Benefits
This upbeat strain is a gift for those who have mental conditions. Nebula produces a calming and positive high that is loved by people who experience chronic stress. Its uplifting effects ward off bad vibes helping out depressed patients in their day to day activities. Some people can use it to fight fatigue as it does have reinvigorating and energizing effects.
When it comes to pain management, Nebula has also put on an impressive record in relieving muscle cramps, body aches, and even gastrointestinal disorders.
Aside from that, it is not like other strains that can increase anxiety levels significantly unless overindulging.
Nebula is mostly green in color with some patches of purple cover the buds area. There are also abundant orange hairs that stick out making it pleasant to the eyes. As its name suggests, it twinkles because of the thick and tight THC-rich bud formations. This plant is ideal for beginners and thrives in both indoors and outdoors.
If there is enough space inside the house, this cannabis may be planted in soil or using the hydroponics setup. It is also suitable for the sea of green (SOG) training technique. The flowering period lasts 8 to 9 weeks, and it can produce 450 to 500 grams per meter square.
Outdoors, Nebula does pretty well in a temperate climate. It is quite tolerant though as some people managed to cultivate it in colder environments. It starts flowering during the last days of October, and each plant can produce up to 600 grams of buds.
