In astronomy, a cloud of dust is called a nebula. In that sense, naming this strain as such is apt. Looking at its coating, it appears to twinkle like stars in the same way a star cloud seems. Furthermore, the hybrid can and will take people on a trippy ride in space especially when using too much.
Bred in 1996 by Paradise Seeds, the exact lineage of Nebula is somewhat obscure. Most likely, it is to prevent other people from attempting to duplicate it. At any rate, there is a belief that it is a cross between US Haze and Master Widow.
For most people though, the lineage does not matter. About the only thing that is of importance is the effects it delivers. It has also placed well in numerous competitions including:

Outdoors, Nebula does pretty well in a temperate climate. It is quite tolerant though as some people managed to cultivate it in colder environments. It starts flowering during the last days of October, and each plant can produce up to 600 grams of buds.
