Holy Grail Kush Strain Review – Bonza Blog
The best things in life do not come easy. Take the Holy Grail Kush, for example. For it to exist, not only does someone first had to breed it, but the genetic base must be there to develop a one-for-the-ages strain.
Kosher Kush, for instance, was a two-time High Times Cannabis Cup Best Indica winner. Furthermore, it was also the best overall strain in 2011. Among its most notable traits, one that stands out is its insanely high 29% THC.
As impressive as Kosher Kush is, the other hybrid used by DNA Genetics is even better. Of all the strains in the OG family, OG #18 is easily the best. A two-time High Time Cannabis Cup winner, it also won numerous others including Europe Champions Cup and Spannabis Indoor Hydro Cup.
OG #18 is a phenotype of OG Kush. DNA Genetics, of course, was the one who released it. Kosher Kush, on the other hand, took incredible efforts. Initially available as a clone only plant, they were able to produce its seeds.
By pairing these two elite strains, the cross proved to be just as remarkable, if not even better. In 2011, Holy Grail Kush did not only take top honors in the High Times Cannabis Cup Best Hybrid category. It also became the first strain ever to have a perfect score.

Growing Holy Grail Kush

Deservedly so, it should be one of the costliest strains.
But seeds are available, and users can cultivate it right in their gardens or inside the house. It is not difficult at all, and even beginners should be able to nurture it until harvest time.
In an indoor setting, growers can use either soil as the medium or hydroponics. By combining it with either the Sea of Green or Screen of Green training method, it should lead to explosive growth and optimal production. It has a flowering period of 9 to 10 weeks, which is unusual for an Indica-dominant plant. However, the reward is undoubtedly worthwhile as growers harvest up to 500 grams per square meter.
As for growing outdoors, cultivating in a dry and sunny environment is ideal. It flowers between the second to third week of October with each plant capable of producing up to 650 grams.
One thing to note about the plant is that it has a pungent odor. If that is a cause for concern, then it is best planted indoors with an odor-control filter installed.
