Super Blue Dream Strain Review – Bonza Blog
Super Blue Dream is the fusion of two already beautiful and exceptional strains. In essence, this hybrid takes what is an award-winning Sativa and infused by an incredibly delightful aroma.
Named after its parents, Super Blue Dream is what one can describe as a royalty. One of its parents is Super Silver Haze. Known for its uplifting high, this Sativa has won the High Times Cannabis Cup multiple times (1997, 1998, and 1999). It carries in its genes legendary strains Northern Lights, Skunk, and Haze.
Its other parent is the Blue Dream, one of the most popular cannabis in the world. Notable for its gentle mental high and body relaxation, it also comes with berry scents.
While the lineage of Super Blue Dream is undisputed, its original breeder has remained vague. Keep in mind though that there is another variety of this strain. It appears to be a case of a breeder who took a Super Silver Haze female and crossed it with a male Blue Dream. In other words, it is a recreation of the original. Then, the descendant was backcrossed to a Super Silver Haze male.

Odor and Flavors
In some ways, the scent of Super Blue Dream is surreal. Like Super Silver Haze, it has an earthy smell with a sweet note. However, the influence of Blue Dream is evident with its berry aroma that carries over to its taste. Simply put, this is an incredibly pleasant-smelling cannabis with a fruity-like quality that appeals to any user.
Super Blue Dream is an excellent wake-and-bake strain. Taking its cue from Super Silver Haze, it induces an energy-boosting high that clears the head and leaves users with a sharper focus. It also promotes creativity but not racy thoughts.
As the physical effects work its way to the body, the calm sensation complements the cerebral high by making users feel uplifted. It results in the sense of well-being. Users, feeling quite happy, stay motivated, active and productive.
Once the Indica traits finally kick into the body, it causes the body to feel relaxed but not to the point of feeling lazy or lethargic.
With up to 21% THC, Super Blue Dream is very potent. Used excessively, its cerebral effects may cause a buzzing high. Depending on the tolerance level, some people may find it a little overwhelming.
Even if one were to use a tiny amount, or at least well within limits, some conditions might occur. These adverse effects, though, are often mild. Some reactions are also typical with cannabis use such as having cotton mouth and red eyes. At the same time, both the throat and the eyes may feel dry.
It is also possible for some people to feel a headache. Hence, those who already have such issue will want to avoid using this strain.
There are also instances when a few may feel more anxious or a little paranoid. For some, it is due to the onset of the Sativa effects which might be a little too intense. And, for the others, it could be as simple as being more susceptible more than any other reason.
Medical Use and Benefits
Without much of CBD to boast of, the medicinal benefits of Super Blue Dream is a result of its psychoactive effects. For example, one of its most popular use is to find relief from pressure. As it does uplift the mind and the body, it follows that stress is either lessened or eliminated. People with PTSD, depression, and related or similar conditions will indeed find the strain invaluable.
Curiously, even if some people may actually have a mild headache, there are others who use it for its relief.
Because it does not have the same sedative-like effects found in most Indica strains, about the best it can do when it comes to pain relief are limited to those very mild cases.
