Strawberry Strain Review
Adding Strawberry to the morning routine is one way to start the day with an energizing buzz. Delicious and refreshing, it is hard to go wrong with a touch of sweetness in each toke. Aptly so, as it dazzles the senses without the sugar rush.
Strawberry provides a clear-minded boost while also promoting focus and alertness that even veterans can appreciate. Not only is it a delightful wake-and-bake strain, but it is also gentle enough for beginners. Rarely does it overwhelm people or cause anxiousness.
Although this strain made its appearance in Dutch coffee shops, the breeder has mostly kept a low profile and its exact genetics proprietary.
Strawberry itself appears to be clone-only. However, several breeders have used it as a genetic base to develop a wide range of hybrids to take advantage of its fruity fragrance and highly enjoyable mental stimulation.

Odor and Flavors
Earthy to its core, this strain has a slightly pungent scent of damp soil mixed with skunky and spicy notes. However, it is the refreshing smell of its namesake coming with a candy-like quality that stands out. It carries well over to the smooth and creamy smoke while leaving a sweet aftertaste.
Chock-full of stress-busting goodness, a whiff of this strain prepares one for the day’s challenges without debilitating effects. Taken in moderation, the high does not violently assault the senses. Instead, it induces mental clarity while also uplifting the mood.
Fully equipped for the long day ahead, going through one’s daily responsibilities no longer feels like a burden as the gentle euphoric buzz melts stress away. It keeps people productive and engaged by the seeming endless energetic high.
Strawberry is better used during the day. In some instances, though, it can also be consumed in the evening such as when going to a party. The upbeat feeling it delivers makes it an excellent strain for sharing between friends too, in a social setting.
Veterans and beginners alike can expect reactions that can be uncomfortable. Cannabinoids interfering with the production of saliva, for example, induces cottonmouth as well as dry eyes. It could also cause mild dizziness especially when there is a sudden movement such as abruptly standing up from a seating position.
Strawberry is not in the category of the most potent strains ever developed. Still, it has an above average potency. Moderate use usher in comforting mental stimulation, but overconsumption could result in an intense psychedelic high. It has the potential to induce an overwhelming sensory, auditory, and time distortions. Not only that, it might even make some people feel slightly paranoid or anxious.
Medical Use and Benefits
Some people could make use of Strawberry to quickly clear the head not long after waking up. Moreover, it could also wipe out the grouchy mood and set the tone for a happy day ahead. Its ability to take out stress further extends to uplifting the mood making it useful against depression.
Medical patients battling the crippling symptoms of chronic illnesses including muscle spasms could also take advantage of its analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. In fact, Strawberry is a unique Sativa in that its best therapeutic use is to reduce or eliminate pain as opposed to comforting the mind as most others do.
Strawberry is almost exclusively a Sativa plant. Traces of its Indica genes, regardless of how insignificant, played a role in its structure. On average, it reaches only 120cm – incredibly short for its nature. For that reason, it affords home growers with confined vertical space to cultivate a mentally-stimulating plant.
Another remarkable trait of Strawberry is that it has a quick flowering time of only 8 to 9 weeks – a typical Indica trait. Organic soil helps maximize the production of terpenes to enhance the fragrance and flavor profile. Hydro, on the other hand, ensures rapid growth.
The plant is also highly adaptable to training. A screen of green set up is ideal if speed is a primary goal. On the other hand, growing Strawberry under the screen of green helps increase the production of flowers. At best, it could yield up to 450 grams of buds per each square meter.
Cultivating it outdoors, meanwhile, reveals yet one more benefit of having a more Indica-like growing trait. This plant is resilient and can withstand the cold weather although it comes at the expense of decreased yields. Planted in a dry and warm climate is most ideal. Harvest period should occur during mid-October with each plant producing up to 350 grams.
