Space Queen Strain Review – Bonza Blog

Some people like it slow and gentle while others like it the other way around. If it is speeding from one galaxy to another all over the universe, the right strain to use is Space Queen.

Of course, the reference to the universe does not mean that this strain can cause hallucinations. Used in moderation, it does induce an intense cerebral euphoria. However, overuse and it brings on some mind-bending effects.

While it is almost a balanced hybrid, Space Queen tilts more to its Sativa side. From different accounts, the original breeder of the strain is Vic High of BC Growers Association.

To create Space Queen, the breeder used two strains. One is the heavy-hitting Indica dominant Romulan. It is one that is notable for its intoxicating full-body high. Fans of Star Trek should recognize the name as it is taken from an alien race in the movie franchise. Another strain used is Cinderella 99 (C99). Bred by Brothers Grimm, this hybrid delivers an uplifting dreamy cerebral high.

From time to time, seeds of Space Queen appear on some online retailers or seed banks. To be clear, it is unclear if the original Space Queen still exists. In most sites, the assumption is that Space Queen is also called by another name, Space Jill. To a certain extent, that may very well be true. However, the latter is actually a remake of the former by TGA Subcool Seeds using the same genetic lineage.

Growing Space Queen

Space Queen is not an easy strain to cultivate. Hence, beginners should look for an easier one to grow. Under the hands of experts though, it will thrive equally well regardless if it is planted indoors or outdoors.

If grown indoors, it flourishes well with the Sea of Green (SOG) or Screen of Green (SCROG) training methods. Bear in mind that since it can be lengthy and spindly, growers must have enough support for the canopy. The plant should be ready for flowering in 7 to 9 weeks. Each square meter should have a yield of 100 to 250 grams.
