Growing Sour Tsunami

As is the case with other high CBD hybrids, growing Sour Tsunami does not always result with buds containing some 10% of this desired compound. In fact, only one out of four is likely to meet expectations. Unfortunately, there is no way to determine its content at home. If there is an accessible cannabis testing center, growers could send cuts 3 to 4 weeks before the transition to bloom phase.

Once mature, Sour Tsunami produces dense olive-green buds. Exposing it to a lower temperature by some 4 degrees during the dark cycle before it starts flowering triggers the appearance of purple hues. Visually, it looks more striking.

Indoors, the flowering period takes some nine weeks. Once ready for harvest, growers can expect some 350 to 450 grams of buds per square meter.

If cultivated outdoors, the harvest time falls on October in the northern hemisphere. Each plant has the potential to yield up to 350 grams.
