The Sativa dominant strain came from two renowned strains, the beloved Skunk No. 1 and the energizing and relaxing Haze. Both of these strains are classics used in breeding and perfecting many other hybrids.

Growing Skunk Haze

To be fair, some beginners can grow Skunk Haze well enough. However, for most, it is better to start with another strain. That is because this plant is not the easiest one to cultivate. Even if one were to grow it successfully, it might not have greats flavors or high yields.

Under the hands of seasoned growers, though, the reward after weeks of tending is an uplifting experience in itself. Growers have a choice of cultivating the plant outdoor or indoor.

In the garden, the plant prefers a warm environment with plenty of sunshine. But due to its pungent odor, neighbors and passers-by are likely to recognize its smell. If privacy is an issue, there is the option of cultivating it inside the house.

Without constrictions, the plant can grow up to two meters or more. Even if it is Sativa-dominant, this plant retains its Indica heritage. Flowering time should begin during the last days of October. Once it is ready for harvest, each of these marijuana plants will yield of 500 g/m2 or more.

Skunk Haze, grown indoors, enters bloom phase soon after switching to 12/12 light cycle during the ninth week. As early as possible, it is best to use the Sea of Green training technique. To ensure maximum light coverage, growers can trim the side stems. With careful cultivation, every square meter of this strain can yield approximately 500 grams of buds.
