Black Diamond Strain Review – Bonza Blog
A hybrid that leans towards its Indica side, Black Diamond is what one can describe as a gem. It is best used by people who want a spark of optimism at the onset before settling down in bliss.
A diamond is a diamond. It commands a high price because of its rarity. Like these precious stones, the strain is priceless. That is because it does not seem to be currently available on the market. From time to time, some seed banks or online retailers may make its seeds available for sale. However, always exercise due diligence and make sure to purchase only from the reputable ones.
The original Black Diamond is thought to be a cross between Blackberry and Diamond OG. Unfortunately, its breeder is unknown. Also, the plant is available only as clone-only. Because of that, finding someone who has a mature plant to obtain clippings is almost impossible.
Although it is a heavy-hitting Indica strain, Black Diamond delivers an uplifting effect in the beginning. Such trait, unmistakably, is an influence of Blackberry. In more ways than one, users can also think of it as Diamond OG with a more pronounced cerebral high.

Odor and Flavors
Black Diamond has a pungent and musky aroma that lingers for a while. Blending in is a rich berry aroma that is reminiscent of Blackberry. Its smoke has an earthy quality to it followed by a sweet undertone. On the exhale, it has a mild skunky taste.
Some people say it is because of the daily hassles of like that led to the use of cannabis. Others simply want to chill. Regardless of the reason (or justification), Black Diamond is best used just as the day is ending.
Used moderately, its onset is a gentle but pronounced mental high that uplifts the spirit. As it induces to feel not only happy but also elated, it may result in some people having bouts of giggles and laughter. Black Diamond promotes a clear-headed high in which its users remain productive.
Meanwhile, the uplifting sensation spreads all over the body. As the physical effects begin to intensity, it leaves users in deep relaxation. Often, it does not lead to a couch-lock. However, if one uses a little too much, then all bets are off. Coming with up to 26% THC, it absolutely will have no trouble knocking out anyone, even the experienced users.
All good things in excess have consequences. To be clear, even in moderation, the use of cannabis leads to dry mouth and eyes. Of course, Black Diamond is no exemption. At times, it may cause some people to feel dizzy too.
One thing to note about this strain is that it may cause a few people to feel anxious or paranoid. Although these conditions are often mild, it is best avoided by people who have anxiety issues.
Medical Use and Benefits
The uplifting, as well as soothing body effects of Black Diamond, can help people de-stress. Once lifted of burden, in its place is happiness. Because of that, it is quite a useful aid in the fight against depression.
Once the physical effects start to manifest, Black Diamond eases body pain and symptoms of nausea. Because it soothes and relaxes muscles, it can help users deal with muscle spasms.
In most cases, users tend to feel sleepy during the comedown. Hence, it may prove to be useful to insomniacs.
Growing Black Diamond
From time to time, there are seeds of Black Diamond made available. Unfortunately, it is difficult to say if it is the real deal. For one thing, the original Black Diamond is clone only. As such, there are two possibilities.
1. A seed bank may have obtained Blackberry and Diamond OG and did their version of Black Diamond. Although the lineage is technically the same, it is not an exact duplicate.
At any rate, if growers have the opportunity to cultivate the plant, then they can do so indoors or outdoors. Black Diamond has pale sage green leaves with light brown pistils. It also has medium to large cylindrical-shaped flowers. Once exposed to cooler temperature before the flowering period, it will also have purple hues. Finally, there are white snowy trichomes that coat these beautiful buds, giving it a sticky look. This texture makes it difficult for people to break manually.
Growing this strain will not be a breeze for beginners. People who have experience should be the ones to cultivate Black Diamond as it needs attention. One important thing to note is that it prefers to grow in soil. The environment must be warm and humid with temperatures ranging from 21 to 27 degrees Celsius.
Black Diamond grows up to 250 centimeters tall. Typically, it flowers in October. Each plant is likely to produce more than 350 grams.
Indoors, it must be topped or trimmed to encourage the growth of flowering nodes on the lower part of the plant. The Sea of Green method works well with this cannabis. Typically kept short at around 120 centimeters, Black Diamond tends to be bushy. Its flowering period is between 8 to 9 weeks and yields around up to 350 grams per square meter.
